The Sanitation Operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across production, office, and support areas by following prescribed schedules and protocols. This role supports overall facility hygiene and audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Clean and maintain
floors, drains, walls, ceilings , and other facility surfaces per established cleaning schedules or as required.
Collect and properly dispose
of trash from office, staff breakrooms, and production areas.
Remove and compact cardboard waste
from the packing area using designated equipment.
Perform
detailed cleaning of production line components
during scheduled maintenance and sanitation down-days.
Operate a
floor scrubber/washing machine
to maintain clean and safe flooring.
Maintain all sanitation tools and equipment-such as
buckets, hoses, vacuums , and hand tools-in a
clean and ready-to-use condition .
Assist in
facility preparation for inspections, audits , and customer visits.
Contribute to the
quality, legality, and safety
of all products by supporting sanitary production conditions.
Maintain a
clean and organized work area , reporting any potential contamination or suspicious activity to a supervisor immediately.
Perform
other duties as assigned
by sanitation leadership or management.
Role Requirements:
Attention to detail and strong commitment to
cleanliness and hygiene standards
Ability to follow
written and verbal instructions
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including
standing, walking, bending, lifting , and
repetitive motion
Willingness to work in
variable temperature environments
(e.g., hot, cold, humid)
Flexibility to work
weekends, holidays, and sanitation down-days
as needed
Preferred:
Education: High School Diploma or GED.
Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish is desirable.
Experience: Prior experience in a bakery or food manufacturing environment is beneficial but not required.
Shift: 1st- 6:00am-2:30 PM
must work weekends
Hourly Rate: $20.00
