Job Purpose
Dana is a global leader in the supply of highly engineered driveline, sealing, and thermal-management technologies that improve the efficiency and performance of vehicles with both conventional and alternative-energy powertrains. Serving three primary markets - passenger vehicle and commercial truck - Dana provides the world's original-equipment manufacturers and the aftermarket with local product and service support through a network of nearly 100 engineering, manufacturing, and distribution facilities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: • Records material movement into MS-8. • Maintains Kanban system. • Pulls materials from stock locations as necessary. • Performs daily activities without direct supervision. • Enters data into computer. • Stocks components as required. • Packages product for shipment in conjunction with customer requirements. Provides accurate count services. • Participates in inventory control procedures and shipping / receiving duties. • Delivers UPS/Federal Express packages in a timely manner. • Breaks down returnable dunnage when returned from customer. • Moves raw material and finished product throughout plant. • Empties scrap containers into appropriate containers outside building. • Empties garbage containers into compactor. • Loads and unloads trucks as required. • Responsible for verification of product being shipped out against paperwork. • Verifies delivery paperwork, address, part number and quantity. • Tags delivered product and moves it to appropriate area per instructions. • Responsible for maintaining forklifts in a safe operating condition. Completes daily forklift inspections and related checklist. • Notifies supervisor of any problems with equipment. • May be required to send Advance Shipping Notice (ASN) per operator instructions. • May be required to create Shipping documentation per operator instructions. • May be required to participate in cycle count activities. • Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: • Successful completion of forklift licensing exam. • Fluent in such computer skills/programs as MS Word, e-mail, data entry, etc. • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs for small package shipping. • Must be available to work overtime, off-shifts, weekends, holidays and shutdowns when necessary.
