Description

Northtown Automotive is currently looking for a Warranty Clerk to work in our New Subaru location, opening up this quarter.

The Warranty Clerk is responsible for communication with manufacturers regarding reimbursement of warranty claims. This individual will keep records of warranty services offered and performed while working with our Service Department and customers.

Schedule: Monday - Friday business hours, 40 hours/week

Essential Job Functions: Processing warranty claims on a timely basis for each franchise or distributor Processes all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation Verifies criteria required by factory or distributor. Reconciles all warranty receivables with payments through the appropriate accounting schedule. Posts credits on computer. Resubmits all rejected claims promptly or receives authorization to write them off. Follows up on payment of outstanding claims. Tracks warranty parts by tagging with repair order number, date of replacement and date on which part may be disposed of. Arranges for parts to be shipped to the factory or distributor or to be scrapped. Files and maintains all service records as required by the warrantor. Keeps informed of all factory recalls and bulletins. Assists with the cashier and telephone duties as needed. Assists with administrative projects and research as needed. Communicating with technicians, service writers, and the service manager as needed. Qualifications

Qualifications:

Knowledge of software systems (ADP/CDK or Tekion) Previous warranty admin work preferred Basic math and bookkeeping skills required Attention to detail Ability to self-motivate and work individually Valid in-state driver's license. Ability to read and comprehend instructions, both verbal and written. Ability to operate smartphone, tablet and/or PC.
