Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Temporary Shipper to join a growing manufacturing and distribution team. This role is responsible for coordinating outgoing shipments, verifying order accuracy, and ensuring products are packaged and labeled according to company and customer standards. The ideal candidate is organized, efficient, and thrives in a fast-paced production environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare and package finished products for shipment according to customer specifications.
Verify product quantities, labeling, and documentation before shipping.
Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified).
Maintain a clean and organized shipping area to ensure safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with production and logistics teams to prioritize orders and meet deadlines.
Inspect outgoing shipments for quality and completeness.
Accurately complete shipping records and logs.
Follow company safety policies, including OSHA regulations. Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Previous experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
Basic computer skills for logging shipments and inventory tracking.
Team player with good communication skills. Work Environment:
First shift, Monday - Friday.
Warehouse/production environment with standard manufacturing noise levels.
Safety-conscious and collaborative team environment. Additional Information:
Temporary role with potential to extend based on performance and business needs.
Competitive pay at $18/hour. Pay Details:
$18.00 per hour
