PURPOSE OF POSITION The IPS Specialist will provide supported employment services to young adults in the Rights of Passage (ROP) program and our pregnant and parenting young women program for youth aged 16-21. The role involves working across two Bronx-based sites, engaging in relationship-building with potential employers, and supporting youth in achieving employment and educational goals. The Specialist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team and ensure program fidelity to the IPS model. Duties and Responsibilities Engage clients and establish trusting relationships to support competitive employment in community settings. Assist clients with understanding and reporting benefits (e.g., SSI, Medicaid) related to employment. Conduct job development and search activities, making at least six employer contacts weekly. Provide ongoing support to clients to maintain employment, including developing support plans and negotiating accommodations with employers. Participate in team meetings and coordinate services with mental health and vocational rehabilitation professionals. Spend at least 65% of work hours in the community meeting clients, visiting workplaces, and assisting with job applications. Provide supported education services for clients interested in advancing their employment through education. Maintain program documentation and ensure good program outcomes. Management and Leadership Uphold CHNYs mission, vision, principles, and policies. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Associate's degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or related field required; Bachelor's preferred. Minimum of two years supervisory or managerial experience in youth development or work readiness programs. Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Outgoing personality with strong networking abilities. Ability to create and deliver tailored presentations. Highly motivated, target-driven, and receptive to feedback. Flexibility to work evenings/weekends as needed. Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Strong organizational and supervisory skills. Valid drivers license and willingness to travel between sites.
