Amazon is seeking a Cluster Operations Manager for its Transportation team. We are seeking a Cluster Operations Manager who will be responsible for setting up the delivery infrastructure in the city, including identifying locations for delivery stations and ensuring rapid growth in the city-wide delivery infrastructure. Responsibilities

Defining, building and responsible for the execution of transportation processes, from fulfillment centers to customers, leveraging the Delivery center network. Build capacity in the network by appointing Service Partners and planning IHS points; maintain relationships with Service Partners and develop their capability. Hire, train and build a highly motivated delivery workforce with support from HR and training teams to meet operational city requirements, while maintaining high quality and productivity. Ensure sufficient bandwidth in the city-wide delivery team for peak-time delivery management. Coordinate with Finance, Customer Service, Fulfillment Centers and Projects teams on city operations matters. Conduct performance appraisals of Delivery Center Managers and Channel Relationship Managers and mentor them for efficient operations. Continuously improve delivery processes to sustain high performance; initiate improvements to enhance quality, reduce waste, and eliminate unnecessary work. Analyze data reports to identify performance bottlenecks and drive improvements. Implement formal process control and process improvement mechanisms such as Kaizen. Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

Graduation. MBA. Experience in the logistics field is desirable. People management experience; experience in handling field teams is highly desirable. Experience in handling live operations where decisions are needed on the spot and actions must be initiated immediately. Knowledge of the city topography is an added advantage. Experience in process improvement; knowledge of methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc., is preferred. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Operations is an advantage. Strong familiarity with databases (querying and analyzing) such as SQL, MySQL, Access; exception-based reporting is a plus.
