Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $16 - $16 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Port Checker:
Receive and inspect cargo arriving by vessel or truck
Verify inventory counts, container numbers, and documentation for accuracy
Report discrepancies, damages, or missing items to supervisors
Maintain accurate records using handheld devices or port tracking systems
Work closely with shipping and receiving teams to ensure smooth cargo flow
Follow all port safety, security, and environmental protocols
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
Previous shipping/receiving or inventory control experience preferred
Must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Above average hand-eye coordination
Must be able to work in extremely stressful conditions and high-traffic areas
Must be able to work in various weather conditions including heat, rain, and wind
TWIC card preferred or be able to obtain a TWIC badge
Background check and drug screening required
