INTRODUCTION and WHAT YOU WILL DO (Job Responsibilities)
This position is primarily responsible for shipping and receiving, storing and distributing material, tools, equipment and products by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Load and unload trucks using forklift and or overhead crane.
Read production schedule, custom orders, work orders, BOM and drawings, shipping orders or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas.
Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distributes items to production worker or assembly line.
Assemble customer orders from stock and enters orders for shipping using, but not limited to, UPS, DHL & FedEx (domestic and international).
Mark materials with identifying information.
Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards.
Use computer to enter records.
Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications.
Maintain inventory records, red tags, VRF’s and routine cycle count.
Help maintain clean and orderly warehouse.
Additional duties as assigned.
Accountability: Material cost savings.
Inventory turns/obsolete inventory.
Business Related Contacts: This position interacts with the Warehouse Supervisor, Plant Manager, Operations Manager, and Engineers.
