Bridgeport Hospital Milford Campus, part of Yale New Haven Health, is seeking a full-time Day Hospitalist to join its inpatient team. This role follows a seven-on/seven-off block schedule, offering both professional stability and work-life balance. Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive inpatient medical care, including admissions, daily rounds, and discharges.
Manage diagnostic evaluations, treatment planning, and coordination of care with nursing staff and specialists.
Communicate effectively with patients and families regarding care plans and discharge instructions.
Participate in rapid responses and inpatient emergencies as required.
Serve as a professional leader and role model, participating in hospital committees, promoting best practices, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.
Qualifications Education:
Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.), with completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Residency.
Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Internal Medicine.
Must obtain attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.
Licensure:
Hold a valid Connecticut medical license.
Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration and
Federal Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Certification.
