Job Description A Claims Manager oversees daily claims operations and controls the productivity of a claims department. This may include providing claims employees with guidance, mentorship, and training on issues that arise. The Claims Manager also reviews special or unusually complex claims as well as ensuring teams' capacity while remaining innovative by solidifying key goals are met. In addition, the Claims Manager monitors production volume and workflow as well as evaluates processes and procedures to ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the claims organization overall.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Supervises all operations and support functions within the unit/department including responsibility for all claims, training programs, business proposals, technical results and quality, vendor management and procurement, etc.

Responds to customer complaints.

Prepares and submits regular reports to upper management.

Oversees and operates within allocated budget.

Handles personnel duties such as interviewing, hiring, disciplinary, monitor timesheets, and performance management.

Works with individual employees to discuss and create plans for development and areas of strength and opportunity.

Conducts quality assurance audits on open and closed claim files completed by direct employees.

Works with all claims staff through open communication to increase and enhance productivity, workflow, and positive attitudes in order to achieve desired goals.

Reviews and approves settlement authority as needed. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma.

10 to 12 years of experience.

Two to five years of supervisory/management experience. The salary range is $81300 - $138100 PLEASE NOTE: Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
