Full-Time; Contract Top 5 Skills: Color design and trend expertise Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, FreeHand, and CAD programs (Mac environment) Strong communication and presentation skills Knowledge of product design, development, and manufacturing processes Consumer research and market insight integration Job Description: This role is responsible for planning and executing innovative color designs for Women's Lifestyle Footwear, working collaboratively with design, product marketing, development, and material consultants to deliver market-ready solutions. The position involves developing line art, managing samples, maintaining timelines, and coordinating with materials consultants. It also requires creating seasonal color strategies, understanding consumer behaviors, and leading color merchandising initiatives. The designer will utilize advanced design skills, provide mentorship to junior designers, and contribute to advancing client's color design expertise and strategy. Duties/Responsibilities of the Job:

Plan and execute color designs with cross-functional teams. Review samples to ensure marketable design solutions and timely completion. Maintain and manage category/division color calendars and timelines. Develop line art, color design server entries, GPIN, merchandising lines, and cutting samples. Research and deliver color, design, market, and lifestyle trends to inform strategies. Create seasonal direction for color, materials, and graphics. Partner with leadership to develop seasonal merchandising strategies and stories. Present and communicate color direction and seasonal strategies to internal and external groups. Contribute to divisional and footwear committee color planning. Mentor and train junior designers while advancing technical expertise across the color design team. Must Have Skills:

Minimum 6 years of progressively challenging technical color design experience. Proficiency with Photoshop, Illustrator, and FreeHand in a Macintosh environment. Knowledge of CAD programs, preferably for Mac. Strong understanding of color trends, mixing, compatibility, and placement. Familiarity with product design and development processes. Knowledge of manufacturing processes (materials, fabrics, plastics, pigments). Excellent verbal, written, and visual communication skills, including presentation and facilitation. Ability to articulate the impact of color on product and sales. Strong independent and collaborative working skills in a diverse team environment. Nice to Have Skills:

Experience training or mentoring junior designers. Expertise in materials, special effects, technology, advanced development, tools, and color presentation. Strong ability to network and influence across internal and external stakeholders.
