Responsibilities:
Count items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.
Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding
Stamp and write identifying information and shipping instruction onto crates or container
Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage
Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
Ensure the outgoing shipments meet specification
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
Treat customers in accordance with dealership policies
Write legible and record all information accurately
Keep Parts Manager informed of all problems and stock requirements
Place parts into stock or customers bins quickly and accurately
Notify other departments in dealership when their parts arrive
Attend any parts schools as requested
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of dealerships computer systems
Background and MVR Check required
