Human Resources Generalist

JOB SUMMARY

The Human Resources generalist will function in a variety of capacities throughout our human resources department contributing to the success of BRR. The Generalist will guide our recruiting efforts and attend recruiting events to identify and select potential candidates for open national positions. As part of our team, you will be able to interview applicants and onboard new hires.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Performs all recruiting activities in accordance with policies and applicable state and federal guidelines, including but not limited to candidate searches, phone screens, interviews, reference checks, background checks, offers of employment, and the processing of corresponding paperwork. Coordinate new hire preparation, onboarding, and tracking of employment documentation. Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, or employee referrals. Establishes and maintains relationships with hiring managers to stay aware of current and future hiring and business needs. Establishes and maintains relationships with colleges/universities. Attends various recruiting events. Provides guidance and interpretation with regards to Human Resources policies, procedures, practices, and initiatives. Ensures compliance with all applicable county, state, and federal employment regulations while meeting company goals. Identifies gaps in existing HR policies and contributes to the development of new HR policies, procedures, and retention strategies. Maintains current knowledge of various HR laws, practices, procedures, and trends. Actively participates in professional organizations to build a strong professional pipeline. Assists with open enrollment, benefit changes, and updating of enrollment information. Analyze employment-related data and prepare required reports. Schedule and conduct new employee orientations as needed. Performs other related duties as required and assigned. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Communication, or Business and three years' of progressive Human Resources experience; or An Associate's degree and five years' progressive experience in Human Resources; or Any appropriate combination of education and experience as determined by management. Experience:

Prefer a minimum of 3 years' experience in recruiting or human resources Licenses/Certifications:

Certification as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred A valid driver's license is required. Knowledge and Skills:

Detail-oriented with a commitment to confidentiality and sensitivity of information. Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, and presentation skills. Must be able to work well with all levels of teammates. Intermediate to Advanced computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with recruiting and human resources systems preferred. Must be able to demonstrate tact and objectivity in relationships and decision making. Ability to maintain confidentiality as necessary. Working Conditions:

Work performed primarily in an office setting. Most work performed on a computer while seated. Travel required. Ability to lift up to 15 lbs.
