Project Manager For Navy's Strategic Systems Programs
BAE Systems is seeking a Project Manager to support the Navy's Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) for the Nuclear Armed, Sea Launch Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program, a new high-profile U.S. Navy weapon system in development phase. The candidate needs to be a detail-oriented self-starter who can quickly come up to speed on new technologies and works collaboratively with staff, peers, leadership, and customers to successfully deliver major programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership and communication skills, capable of managing multiple projects and working with multiple teams simultaneously. Join us in ensuring continued exceptional Systems Engineering and Integration support for the new SLCM-N Weapons System and future weapon system development, production, and deployment. As a project manager, you represent the technical program area managers and staff and act as a liaison with the SLCM-N Program Manager in the following activities: Program Management, Cost Management, Schedule Management, Quality Management, and Risk Management. Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Minimum education and related/relevant work experience required: Bachelors degree in engineering, computer science, or other related technical field and 6 years of experience as a project manager overseeing complex portfolios of projects. Additional skills/experience required: Demonstrated experience in managing and leading projects and project teams with specific experience in developing and managing schedules, developing WBS and basis of estimates, identifying and managing risks, and creating routine management reports. Experience briefing executive leadership regarding project status and performance. Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision, identify and execute the next steps within a project to maintain project momentum, and actively drive issues to closure by working with multiple stakeholders. Demonstrated experience in large-scale DoD acquisition programs with knowledge of the DoD Acquisition System and with DoD Systems Engineering methodologies. Demonstrated experience in Risk Management Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's degree in applied science, computing, engineering, mathematics, physics, management information systems, or another related engineering or computer science discipline. Supervisory Experience. Systems Engineering experience. PMP or equivalent certification. ASEP or above certification. Experience supporting Navy SSP Strategic Weapons Systems. Experience with the SSN Virginia class submarine and/or Tomahawk Missile System. Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $115779 - $196825. Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
