Title : Regional Pedagogical Advisor
Location : This hybrid role involves routine travel to various Little Sprouts school sites across New Hampshire and Massachusetts, including Merrimack, Nashua, Stratham, Lawrence, Melrose, Woburn, Lowell, Wilmington, and Concord
Reports To : Head of Education
The Regional Pedagogical Advisor (RPA) is a mission-driven instructional leader who partners with educators and school leaders to strengthen teaching practice and program quality across a region of early childhood schools. This role supports classroom teams in implementing a high-quality, play-based curriculum that reflects our commitment to child development, equity, and joyful learning. Through modeling, coaching, and collaboration, RPAs ensure that every classroom is a place where children and teachers thrive.
In addition to supporting experienced staff, the RPA plays a key role in onboarding new team members, helping them build confidence, understand our philosophy, and feel connected and supported from day one.
Instructional Coaching Provide on-site coaching to classroom educators and school leaders, with a focus on relationship-building, reflective practice, and continuous improvement. Observe classroom practice and facilitate actionable feedback plans and conversations. Model high-quality interactions, learning experiences, and use of documentation tools. Tailor support to individual and team needs, including new teachers and those facing challenges. Curriculum & Pedagogical Leadership
Support implementation of our curriculum for fidelity across classrooms. Help teaching teams deepen their understanding of child development, observation, and emergent planning. Support use of documentation and assessment to inform curriculum and communicate learning. Contribute to the development of a resource library for all educators to access. New Teacher Onboarding & Retention
Lead structured onboarding experiences for new employees across the organization, including company philosophy, school tours, health and safety. Provide additional coaching touchpoints during a new hire's first 90 days to ensure a smooth transition. Serve as a trusted mentor and pedagogical point person for questions, reflection, and early-stage professional growth. Collaborate with multiple departments and school leadership to ensure consistent onboarding practices across sites. Professional Development & Learning Culture
Lead engaging in-service workshops, reflective meetings, and regional learning communities. Collaborate with teams to design targeted professional development experiences. Build educators' capacity to observe, reflect, and refine their practice. Collaboration & Communication
Partner with School Directors and Mentor teachers to align instructional priorities with operational realities. Maintain coaching logs and contribute to quarterly program quality reports. Collaborate cross-functionally to support teacher onboarding, curriculum rollout, and educational initiatives. Other job-related duties or tasks as assigned. Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of classroom teaching experience in early childhood settings. 2+ years of coaching, mentoring, or adult learning facilitation experience. Deep knowledge of early childhood development and progressive, play-based pedagogy. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to build trust and motivate diverse educators. Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive practice. Valid Driver's license and ability to travel to schools across a regional cluster using a personal vehicle is required.
