Job Title: Tool Room Attendant (3rd shift: 8pm - 5am)

Position Responsibilities
The incumbent is expected to perform the following functions that the company has determined are essential to this position: • Set-up of cutting tools for the machining lines following tool setup instructions written in English. • Using Zoller presetter equipment to measure tool offset & runout. • Receiving / Inventory of cutting tool components. • Recording cutting tool data from kanban to database. • Collecting used tools from the lines for reload & returning reloaded tooling back to lineside storage cabinets. • Packaging and shipment of used tools to be sent out for reconditioning. • Maintaining 3-pillar and 5-S standards of tool room area and lineside storage cabinets.
Required Skills and Abilities
Essential Skills and Experience: • Ability to read and follow written instructions in English. • Ability to perform basic computer operations. • Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Microsoft Outlook. • Ability to understand metric measuring system, down to the micron level.
Beneficial Skills and Experience • Knowledge of Microsoft Access. • Experience with Zoller presetting equipment. • Ability to read and understand 2-D drawings of tool assemblies. • Experience disassembling, inspecting and reassembling cutting tools.
Education/Training/Certifications • High school degree required. • Some college, or Associates degree in technical field preferred.
Travel Requirements • Travel requirement for this position is minimal, and basically for travel to training classes for this field.
Work Environment Requirements
