Come join our Team as a Production operations Intern for Summer of 2026! We started with pastries handmade by Lois and Lloyd Martin produced inside of a garage and we have boomed into a multi-facility company where our many products are produced by machines and shipped domestically and internationally. As a member of the Martin’s Family, the Production Operations Intern assists the Plant Management Team with executing projects and daily activities necessary to support the production at Martin’s.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Materials Management activity.
Production Planning such as release WO’s, monitor currently-planned order execution via reports, assist with shipping processing/documentation, update internal customers with order status as needed
Inventory Management such as cycle counting, BOM audits, pick/issue materials, monitor inventory levels and coordinate inventory levels with production schedules to achieve business goals
Manufacturing Engineering project work
Review Routings for accuracy, make recommendations &/or implement improvements
Cost Analysis to evaluate different production methods to determine opportunities for improvement
Process Capability Studies to collect data to support assessment of equipment & process capabilities; cycle time, repeatability, sources of variation, etc.
Create and update SOP’s
Audit existing procedures
Continuous Improvement project support

Education and/or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Currently attending accredited institution pursuing a degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or similar field.
