Overview

Subcontracts Manager: Life Sciences Puerto Rico/Cincinnati, Ohio. Base pay range is $130,900.00/year to $210,000.00/year. This position will be based onsite in Puerto Rico. Responsibilities

As a Subcontracts Lead, develop upfront procurement planning activities such as the Subcontracting section of the Supply Management Execution Plan (SMEP), establish Subcontracting Strategies, and develop project-specific templates, reports, and tools. Manage the activities of a small to mid-sized team of subcontract administrators and other supporting procurement functions; establish package assignments and priorities, remove obstacles, interface with Jacobs and Client management, provide on-the-job training, and offer guidance. Use critical thinking and problem solving to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the projects subcontracting efforts. Handle subcontracting assignments that may include professional/technical services and major/complex construction services on large projects, or serve as Subcontracts Manager for all subcontracting on medium to large projects. Utilize established policies, procedures, systems, and tools. Coordinate procurement of subcontracted services and administer Procurement Agreements and change orders to meet project objectives. Review subcontracts-related invoices and ensure approval in accordance with contract terms and conditions. Evaluate facts around subcontract-related issues and apply remedies to resolve them. Qualifications

Bachelors degree in business, construction, supply chain, or operations management, or equivalent years of project experience in lieu of degree. 15+ years of experience in EPCM construction contracting. 8+ years of experience in Biopharmaceutical/Life Science Manufacturing Projects. Experience with procurement of subcontracted services and administering Procurement Agreements and change orders. Ideal Skills

MS Office tools experience, including intermediate to advanced MS Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work in a team environment. Strong problem-solving and organizational skills; drive to solve complex problems. Willingness to indirectly lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals. Location and Employment Details
