Junior Integrated Logistics System (ILS) Trainer

The Junior ILS Trainer will support the development and delivery of training programs for Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) systems, tools, and processes. This role involves assisting senior trainers in preparing instructional materials, conducting training sessions, and providing hands-on guidance to personnel to ensure effective use of ILS applications. The Junior Trainer will contribute to building user proficiency, supporting mission readiness, and maintaining system lifecycle sustainment. The Junior Integrated Logistics System (ILS) Trainer will support the U.S. Coast Guard's Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC) Engineering Services Division (ESD) Baltimore, Maryland. Junior Integrated Logistics System (ILS) Trainer Responsibilities Include: Learn and apply knowledge of key ILS applications, including COM, CDMA, Maintenance Manager, COMM, Equipment Specialist/Provisioner, EC/TCTO, and DeSpecC, and understand their role in fleet-wide sustainment planning. Develop and deliver training programs, curricula, and supporting materials (handouts, job aids, presentations, PQS statements, syllabi) for ILS processes and applications, with all materials subject to COR approval. Maintain and update training modules-particularly DeSpecC-to reflect upgrades, rewrites, and alignment with other ILS modules. Provide quarterly formal training and ad hoc user support through phone, virtual sessions, or in-person delivery. Support the establishment of a centralized repository for training materials and process guides. Apply instructional design and adult learning principles to ensure effective instruction. Assist in mentoring trainers, coordinating schedules, and evaluating program effectiveness. Contribute to standardized process documentation by developing updated guides, flowcharts, and role-specific procedures that integrate across ILS elements and align with sustainment lifecycle requirements. Performs other job-related duties as assigned Junior Integrated Logistics System (ILS) Trainer Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Mechanical Engineering or 3+ years' HM&E experience (Coast Guard, Navy, or Merchant Marine). Equivalent graduate education and specialized engineering experience may substitute. 3+ years' Coast Guard or DoD Engineering Change process experience, including at least 2 years developing Field Changes, Engineering Changes, and TCTOs. Proficient in Coast Guard TCTO procedures and documentation (SFLC/C5ITSC Process Guides). Strong project management and technical writing skills. Proficient with Coast Guard Standard Workstation III and Microsoft Office 365. Eligible to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
