Position Overview

Ultimate Staffing is actively seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join their client's dynamic team in Reno, Nevada. This role is fully onsite and offers the opportunity for a temp-to-hire position, providing a hands-on experience in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment. The HR Generalist will support various HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, and training, and will require travel to California, Washington, and Idaho. Responsibilities

Support HR Manager with employee relations issues and investigations, including attending meetings, summarizing findings, and follow-up action items. Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex matters to appropriate staff. Provide training to new managers on HR-related processes and procedures. Assist with creating and updating employee job change letters and job descriptions. Review and provide guidance on background checks requiring HR review. Conduct and analyze exit interviews, making actionable recommendations based on data and feedback. Support compliance efforts including mandatory and non-mandatory training and continuing education. Assist in communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook, directory, and organizational chart. Perform routine tasks to support HR programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave management. Develop and maintain organized employee files and HR records. Maintain knowledge of trends and best practices in human resources and employment law. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required. 3-4 years of experience in an HR coordination role. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Understanding of state and federal employment laws (FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FSLA). Proven ability to work with tight deadlines and navigate through change. Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google business suite applications. Ability to handle fast-paced environments with urgency and professionalism. SHRM-CP preferred. Required Work Hours

Monday - Friday, 7am-4pm Benefits

Travel to CA, WA, and ID is required with around 30% travel time. Additional Details

Salary: $26-$28 per hour.
