SUMMARY
The Part-Time Custodian plays a key role in ensuring facilities are sanitary and welcoming for staff, visitors and members. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and professional environment throughout Umatilla Electric Cooperative facilities. This position performs routine and detailed custodial duties in lounges, lobbies, offices, restrooms, and common areas. Work is performed independently and in accordance with established schedules, safety procedures, and cleaning standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include other duties as assigned.
Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize assigned areas. Empty all trash and recycling containers throughout the facility. Wash and disinfect all handles, doors, rails, and other high-touch areas. Report maintenance or safety issues to the Facilities Administrator. Clean and sanitize floors, sinks, countertops, and tables. Spot clean desks as needed. Wipe down and sanitize counters and tabletops. Clean all appliances. Empty main waste receptacles. Clean and sanitize sinks, toilets, and urinals. Clean and polish all chrome pipes and fittings. Fill soap and hand towel dispensers. Clean mirrors and glass surfaces. Empty waste receptacles. JOB DUTIES may include other duties as assigned.
Adhere to all workplace safety and sanitation standards. Use all cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly. Assist with event set up and tear down. Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation. Conducts themselves in a manner that reflects well on UEC and contributes to harmonious relations with members and the general public. Respectfully takes direction from supervisor. QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to follow instructions and cleaning schedules with minimal supervision. Knowledge of proper cleaning methods, chemicals, and safe equipment use. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness. Ability to work safely and identify/report potential hazards. Dependable and punctual work habits. Must be able to work flexible, part-time hours, typically evenings or early mornings.
