Job Overview: As a Perishable Inventory Control Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate maintenance, tracking, and reporting of physical inventory. You will serve as a vital link between internal and external customers to uphold inventory accuracy and proper fiscal accounting. Key Responsibilities: Execute all inventory processes to guarantee accuracy, efficiency, compliance, profitability, and minimal damage. Utilize Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) data for effective inventory control. Investigate quality control issues to prevent future occurrences and ensure compliance with regulations. Identify areas for improvement within all inventory functions and programs. Assess pallet conditions and exchange as necessary. Quickly report damages and discrepancies in inventory. Maintain cleanliness and repair of dock and facility areas. Ensure safe wrapping and stacking of pallets for transport to storage. Safely operate Material Handling Equipment after receiving proper training. Uphold all food safety and housekeeping standards. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; additional coursework or comparable experience is a plus. Previous warehouse experience preferred. Experience operating Material Handling Equipment is advantageous. Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems is preferred. Ability to operate or learn to handle material handling equipment. Basic math skills for accurate counting and verification of pallet ID numbers. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in using technology such as computers and tablets. Willingness to accommodate flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Work Environment: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally. Comfortable with frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, and squatting in a refrigerated warehouse setting. Required to grasp, reach, push, or pull items frequently. Endurance for continuous, fast-paced work needed. Ability to work in fluctuating temperatures, including freezing environments as low as -20 degrees Fahrenheit. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including steel-toed shoes, gloves, and insulated clothing. Potential exposure to food allergens. Additionally, in compliance with Pay Transparency requirements, the expected pay range for this role is $19.75 to $23.75 per hour. Your actual salary may vary based on various factors such as location, education, experience, and qualifications.
