The Senior Compensation Analyst plays a key role in driving the effectiveness of our global compensation programs. This role offers hands-on ownership of core processes along with opportunities to expand skills in analytics, Workday, and broader compensation practices, while contributing to impactful initiatives in a dynamic environment.

MathWorks uses a hybrid work model, with staff members working onsite three days a week and remotely for two days. There are no 100% remote options.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary compensation partner to HR business partners and business leaders for assigned departments. Lead compensation-related activities in Workday-including annual salary reviews, bonus programs, salary changes, promotions, and transfers-while consulting with the HRIS team to ensure alignment and system integrity. Oversee the release of compensation statements (salary increases, bonuses, promotions, etc.) and respond to related staff inquiries with clarity and accuracy. Review, validate, and submit annual compensation surveys to ensure accurate and timely market benchmarking. Conduct job evaluations and manage job profiles, including assessment, creation, and compensation structure assignments. Perform compensation analyses and audits to ensure competitiveness, internal equity, and compliance with regulations. Contribute to strategic initiatives and projects that enhance compensation effectiveness, such as pay equity, market benchmarking, and program design improvements. Maintain ownership of compensation process documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Provide reports and insights using Excel and Workday tools to support decision-making. Partner with senior team members to gain exposure and contribute to evolving compensation practices. Qualifications

A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or equivalent experience) is required. Workday Visa sponsorship will not be provided for this position. Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without restriction. Additional Qualifications

Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, data validation). Hands-on experience with Workday Compensation modules, including configuration and testing. Knowledge of job evaluation, market benchmarking, survey participation, pay equity practices, and compensation regulations. Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to document and explain processes clearly. Project management ability with a process improvement mindset; takes initiative and drives efficiencies. Intellectual curiosity and adaptability; able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to evolving compensation practices. Global compensation experience, preferably in a technology company.
