Senior Software Engineer
PactFi provides secure, end-to-end, operational infrastructure for managing complex private credit transactions. Our web-based application brings together all parties involved in such a transaction to more efficiently allocate capital, complete KYC, share documents, manage funds flow, and more. The platform is secured to a bank-grade standard and we have received both our SOC 2 Type II attestation and our ISO 27001 certification. PactFi was developed in close partnership with two of the industry's largest players, both of whom represent top 3 players in the private credit space by both size (AUM) and deal activity. Responsibilities
Collaborate with the Head of Engineering to align technical implementation with strategic goals. Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable web applications using Laravel and Vue.js. Engage with Product Managers to understand requirements and propose innovative technical solutions. Coordinate with the QA team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues while ensuring exceptional quality. Take ownership of tasks and projects, delivering clean, well-documented code within deadlines. Support team leads with tasks such as architectural reviews, code optimizations, and mentoring junior developers. Take initiative in tackling a variety of tasks and challenges, including process improvements and exploratory work. Stay informed about emerging technologies and trends, and recommend solutions to enhance team performance and application capabilities. Skills and Qualifications
Expert-level proficiency in Laravel PHP framework and Vue.js. Strong understanding of RESTful API design principles. Proficiency with version control tools such as Git. Solid grasp of PHP's synchronous behavior and MVC design patterns. Deep knowledge of scalable application design principles. Experience with user authentication and authorization across multiple systems and environments. Ability to integrate multiple data sources and databases into unified systems. Familiarity with PHP's limitations as a platform and effective workarounds. Strong database design and optimization skills, particularly with MySQL or similar databases. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a growth-oriented mindset. Strong communication skills with a collaborative and proactive approach. Experience with testing frameworks such as PEST or Playwright is a plus. Experience with AWS a plus. Benefits
