Claims Adjuster
to be considered for a
hybrid
opportunity in Charlotte, NC. The Claims Adjuster will be responsible for Claims management which involves investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and adjustment of claims for alleged damages and personal injury. We are seeking experienced Adjusters to have anywhere from one (1) to three (3) years' experience and also have bodily injury experience. Qualified applicants
MUST
have an active and valid N.C. P&C Adjusters License at the time of hire.
Required Qualifications of the Claims Adjuster:
Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to provide sponsorship or work with Third-Party agencies. 1 to 3 years' experience as an Auto, General Liability or Multi-Line insurance claims adjuster Must have Bodily Injury Adjuster experience North Carolina Property Casualty Adjusters License Compliance with the North Carolina Department of Insurance continuing education requirements Valid driver's license and driving record Excellent communication and presentation skills. Knowledge of North Carolina insurance laws. Considerable knowledge of investigative and adjustment techniques, procedures and practices involving property and casualty claims. Considerable knowledge of the general theory and content of public liability negligence laws and case law related to property and casualty claims. Knowledge of local government, organization, functions, and safety provisions. Municipality / Government industry experience strongly desired BS/BA in business or insurance preferred. Responsibilities of the Claims Adjuster:
Reviews and analyzes reports of accidents including property damage and bodily injury to determine liability. Adjusts property and casualty claims from commencement to completion. Conducts accident investigations including locating and questioning claimants, law enforcement officers, witnesses, and other parties. Obtains signed or recorded statements of incidents. Recommends case reserves. Investigates and negotiates settlements for automobile and general liability claims. Settles claims within designated authority limits. Cooperates with litigation manager in defense of litigated files. Serves as back-up for the Claims Manager. Conducts training, as necessary and appropriate, on a full range of risk management topics. Assists in the supervision of one or more claims assistants.
Work Location:
Charlotte, NC. Role may be considered on a hybrid basis upon successful completion of first two weeks on-site. Hybrid Schedule - 2 on and 3 off
