department. This role is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in campus buildings and facilities. We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual who takes pride in their work and contributes to a safe and welcoming environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Job Duties and Other Information Job Duties: Performs many varied custodial tasks necessary for the upkeep of buildings and performs custodial related duties necessary to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions in assigned work areas or buildings. Cleans bathrooms, offices, hallways and any other assigned areas by sweeping, mopping, dusting, straightening and performing general housekeeping tasks. Empties and decontaminates trash receptacles. Mixes or blends cleaning solutions to proper concentrations as necessary for various tasks. Serves as a lead worker over a group of custodians or other employees. Assists the custodial supervisor by planning project work in the assigned area and seeing that the work is finished in a timely, satisfactory manner. Serves as an assistant to the custodial supervisor by taking charge of the work area during the supervisor's absence. Serves as needed on a specialized floor maintenance crew whose work involves the principal responsibility for stripping, buffing and waxing floors by using industrial grade machinery. Assists in the orientation of new employees, orders supplies and makes work assignments as needed by the custodial supervisor. Serves as needed on specialized set up crews with the principal responsibilities of setting up tables, chairs and other furniture for special meetings, banquets and other occasions.
