Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist with strong neuro interventional skills and an active MI license. Responsibilities Work in an Imaging Support Services department specializing in interventional and neuro radiology procedures Daily caseload of 2-5 patients in a lower volume department Primary focus is on interventional radiology with emphasis on neuro cases Utilizes Phillips and Siemens imaging equipment MergePass and Cerner EMR are used; prior experience is a plus Scheduled Monday through Friday, 8am to 4pm, with no on-call required currently but may be needed in the future Floating to a nearby sister hospital may be required Under the direction of a Radiologist, perform invasive interventional and neuro radiology procedures, including preparation and administration of contrast media and medications Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, pressure injectors, and ensure adequate supplies are available Actively assess patient condition before, during, and after procedures Explain procedures to patients and obtain necessary clinical history Demonstrate radiation protection measures and ALARA techniques during all imaging activities Complete all required documentation in the medical record and radiology information system Assist in training new staff and students as needed Complete online modules prior to start date and receive a passing score RTO requests must be submitted before assignment; requests after offer require manager approval Requirements Active Michigan Radiology license required if applicable Registered with ARRT and advanced registry in Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI), Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI), or Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) BLS certification from the American Heart Association required Minimum 2 years of experience in interventional radiology with at least 1 year of neuro IR experience High school diploma or GED required Must maintain required hours of continued medical education Familiarity with Phillips and Siemens imaging equipment preferred Prior experience with MergePass and Cerner EMR is a plus COVID-19 vaccination required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-581109.
