Job Description:
Organizes and maintains warehouse; ensures products, parts, or supplies are shipped, distributed, and received in an efficient manner; receives incoming shipments and schedules outbound delivery of materials; organizes space in warehouse for staging of materials to be ready for delivery to jobs; verifies items received and checks against packing lists, recording any discrepancies; documents shipping and receiving information; takes precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss; evaluates inventory on hand; prepares or reviews distribution documents; coordinates returns when appropriate; ensures project paperwork is updated; maintains stock minimums for consumable items and tools; picks up stock at distributor and/or deliver materials to job site as needed.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Properly account for the location and storage of incoming goods Confirming no damaged items are sent or received Comparing packing lists to company purchase orders and ensuring that the products in each delivery match the packing list Updating the product inventory as products are received and added to the inventory Working closely with Purchasing to facilitate the returns of all returnable materials to vendors assuring accurate information and proper credit to the appropriate project Keep and update the RMA Spreadsheet Properly organize and distribute inventory in order to maintain a clean, organized warehouse Creating and maintaining an up to date material list for the warehouse Maintains test equipment and tool list Working closely with the Purchasing Department to schedule tool delivery, pickup, and maintenance as needed Adherence to office building, local, state, and national codes and rules Maintain a safe working area and work practices Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required but an Associate or Bachelor degree is preferred Able to multitask, work with minimal supervision and have a strong attention to detail Minimum of 2 years of warehouse shipping and receiving experience Working knowledge of inventory databases and solid experience with Microsoft Word and Excel OSHA Forklift Certification to operate forklift Valid CA State Driver's License and must meet CTS Driving Eligibility Criteria Physical ability to move pallets with hand jack, climb warehouse ladders and lift up to 50 pounds as needed
Pay rate of $20-30 hourly commensurate with experience
