Network Engineer - multiple levels - CLEARANCE and POLYGRAPH REQUIRED
Base pay range: $125,000.00/yr - $210,002.00/yr Due to federal contract requirements, United States citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph are required for the position. Responsibilities OLT/PON, TCP MTU/MSS adjustments, and understanding of security using technologies such as reverse proxies, cross-domain solutions, and load balancers. Experience with Cisco Systems hardware/software. Experience with Palo Alto Systems hardware/software. Provide analysis, root cause diagnosis, and troubleshooting for routers, switches, and firewalls. Deep understanding of IP subnetting, VLANs, and the OSI model. Experience with various vendor networking products (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.). Understanding of physical mediums (copper and single mode/multimode fiber) and connectors (RJ11, RJ45, LC, SC, ST, etc.). Ability to respond to operational issues while off duty on an on-call basis. Some travel may be required.
Qualifications
Must be a US Citizen. Must have TS/SCI clearance with active polygraph. At least five (5) years of in-depth experience with Cisco Systems hardware/software. At least five (5) years of in-depth experience with Palo Alto Systems hardware/software. Experience providing analysis, root cause diagnosis, and troubleshooting for routers, switches, and firewalls. In-depth understanding of IP subnetting, VLANs, and the OSI layers. In-depth experience with various vendor networking products (switches, routers, firewalls, etc.). Solid understanding of different physical mediums and connectors (RJ11, RJ45, LC, SC, ST, etc.). Willingness to be on-call and respond to operational issues as needed. Some travel will be required.
Nice to Have
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and at least eight (8) years of related work experience. Experience with KG-175 and/or KG-250/KG-255 configuration and deployment. Experience with VINE/GEM One. Experience with SolarWinds or other network monitoring tools. Experience with VMware 7 or higher and network configuration. Experience with Cisco, Nexus/Catalyst/ASA/ISR/XE and related technologies (ISE, McAfee Sidewinder, Palo Alto, Juniper, F5, IPSEC, NAT, SCP, TFTP, BGP, vPC). Experience with Cisco Call Manager server configuration and troubleshooting, including integration of Instant Messaging, Cisco Meeting Server, Jabber, and Unity Voicemail; managing and upgrading Cisco Unified Communications infrastructure On Premise.
