Grain Inventory Specialist : Full-Time

1 st shift 6am-4pm*

hours may vary Monday - Friday $25+ Resume required reflecting relevant experience

About the Role: We are seeking a dependable, hands-on, and detail-oriented individual to manage and operate our grain facility, feed mill, and soybean roasting operations. This full-time position is essential to the day-to-day operations of our feed production system, which supplies several large dairies. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, experience in grain handling and feed manufacturing, and the ability to coordinate logistics efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

Grain Handling & Management Oversee incoming and outgoing grain transactions. Monitor grain quality and storage conditions across 1.2 million bushels of corn and soybean capacity. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Trucking & Feed Logistics

Coordinate grain movement and feed deliveries in alignment with feed production schedules. Communicate effectively with truck drivers to ensure timely and accurate transportation.

Feed Production Operations

Operate and maintain two roller mills used to grind approximately 800,000 bushels of corn annually for dairy feed. Roast and process between 800,000 to 1 million bushels of soybeans annually, ensuring quality and consistency. Monitor and adjust equipment to maintain feed specifications.

Facility Maintenance

Perform and coordinate regular preventative maintenance on all grain, roasting, and milling equipment. Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed to minimize downtime.

Qualifications:

Prior experience in grain elevator operations, feed milling, or similar ag-industrial roles. Mechanical and technical knowledge of grain handling and processing equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment. Strong communication and organizational skills. CDL or willingness to obtain one is a plus.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Requires regular physical activity, including lifting, climbing ladders, working in dusty environments, and operating heavy machinery. Must be able to work in variable weather conditions. Weekend and extended hours may be required during peak seasons.
