JOB SUMMARY Join our team as a Sanitation Specialist, where your primary responsibility will be to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in our facility, including both warehouse and production areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES Thoroughly clean and sanitize various machinery, support equipment, and conveyors. Ensure floors, walls, and designated work areas are kept clean and sanitized. Perform general maintenance duties including mopping, sweeping, and more in the warehouse. Prioritize work orders based on departmental needs. Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and safety policies. Handle all produce following SQF standards to ensure quality and safety. Keep the facility free of trash and debris, actively looking for ways to enhance sanitation. Maintain a clean facility by collecting and disposing of trash daily and cleaning up spills immediately. Collaborate effectively with supervisors to minimize product loss in the warehouse. Ensure your work area and travel aisles are neat and clean. Immediately report any unfixable or unsafe conditions to your supervisor. Follow all safety guidelines to minimize accidents and injuries. Operate material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently. Conduct daily inspections of material handling equipment and report any maintenance needs to prevent damage. Follow all company policies regarding attendance, conduct, and procedures. Comply with all local and federal regulations such as OSHA and HACCP. Adhere to your assigned work schedule. Perform any additional duties requested by management.

QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or GED preferred, or a combination of education and experience. Experience At least one year of sanitation or maintenance experience is required. Familiarity with general building sanitation and maintenance practices. Experience operating pallet jacks is necessary. Requirements Must be 18 years or older. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and a strong attention to detail. Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations Certification in operating material handling equipment preferred or the ability to obtain certification. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Capable of writing simple correspondence. Effective communication skills to interact with coworkers in small groups. Mathematical Skills Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability Ability to understand and execute written and verbal instructions and handle standardized situations with some variables.

WORK ENVIRONMENT The characteristics of the work environment are as follows: This is a full-time position. Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekdays, weekends, and some holidays. Work hours may change based on departmental needs. This job typically occurs in a warehouse environment. Regularly exposed to fast-moving material handling equipment. Frequently in freezer/cooler environments. Occasionally in wet or humid conditions, high places, and exposed to vehicle emissions and toxic chemicals. May experience high noise levels in the work environment.
