Distribution Line Specialist

Responsible for conducting and coordinating distribution line training, procuring, inspecting and testing tools and equipment, conducting investigations and answering customer complaints. Essential Job Functions: Investigate damage complaints and prepare reports detailing findings and make recommendations to resolve complaints. The damage complaints may include but not be limited to: service quality, high or low voltage, landscape damage caused by company equipment or personnel, etc. Assist with pre checking jobs, customer contacts, work with stores, distribution crews and applicable supervision to secure and provide the necessary tools and equipment for the crew personnel. Support technical training needs when requested and coordinate training with technical trainers if needed. Conduct distribution line training as needed. Inspect and test distribution line tools and equipment. Promote and enforce the Companys Accident Prevention, Safety and Health Programs, and assist line crews on jobs as required for work area protection and ground worker assistance. Support service restoration activities and assume other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Education requirements are listed below: High School Diploma or GED. Work Experience requirement listed below: Minimum of 5 years experience in distribution line or distribution engineering, or equivalent related experience, including good working knowledge of distribution operations activities.
