Position Summary The Energy Auditor - Entry Level plays a vital role in assisting small business tenants, building owners, and utility customers by providing expert advice and exceptional customer service. In this capacity, you will conduct energy efficiency assessments, recommend enhancements to electric and gas systems, and promote awareness of rebate programs. This position includes performing on-site audits, installing energy-saving devices, and deepening client engagement in energy efficiency initiatives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Conduct energy assessments for customers to promote energy efficiency programs. Collaborate with building owners and property managers to deliver useful energy efficiency advice and facilitate program participation. Provide high-quality service to utility customers. Perform walk-through energy assessments identifying gas and electric savings opportunities. Install energy-efficient devices such as LED lights, thermostats, and water-saving products. Communicate assessment findings clearly and explain energy efficiency rebates to clients. Understand the program's strategic direction and the business activities of customers. Document on-site energy efficiency opportunities and follow up with customers as needed. Discuss technical aspects of energy-consuming systems, including lighting, HVAC, and insulation. Manage project data entry and collaborate with engineers as required. Maintain a professional appearance as a representative of our organization. Build rapport with customers and engage them in discussions about energy usage. Prepare concise written summary reports for clients and Program Managers. Work collaboratively in a team environment to improve operations continuously. Lead presentations on energy efficiency programs to targeted audiences. Directly install devices such as faucet aerators and LED lamps in qualified facilities. Assist with warehouse organization and inventory management. Ensure fleet vehicles are clean, organized, and equipped with necessary safety products. Conduct regular vehicle safety inspections and report maintenance as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements Education and Experience Associate degree or equivalent experience. One of the following:

Experience in residential building construction. Experience with HVAC installation, sales, or service. Energy efficiency certifications or designations such as:

Advanced Home Energy Professional (HEP). Building Analyst. Envelope Professional. BPI Fundamentals or above is required.

1 - 2 years in marketing, community organizing, or a related field - Preferred. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Excellent interpersonal, communication, and interview skills. Ability to manage a diverse workload in a fast-paced environment. Strong data entry and database management skills. Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook. Effective verbal and written communication abilities. Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions and percentages. Commitment to diversity and inclusion. Reliable transportation is a must. Licenses & Certifications Valid driver's license. Travel Requirements Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
