Job Overview: Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an
Account Resolution Specialist
to join our client to support students in successfully managing their federal loan repayment obligations. This role plays a key part in preventing loan defaults by contacting former students, providing guidance on repayment options, and connecting them with loan servicers. This contract-to-hire opportunity is fully remote but requires candidates to reside in the Eastern Time zone. It offers a chance to develop professional communication skills while contributing to financial wellness for borrowers.
Compensation: $16.50 per hour
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday, normal business hours • Two shifts: 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM • Two shifts: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM • Fridays: 8:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Account Resolution Specialist: • Conduct outbound calls to former students to address past due loan accounts and explain repayment solutions. • Counsel borrowers on repayment programs such as deferments, forbearances, or consolidations, ensuring they understand available options. • Document all borrower interactions, account status updates, and resolutions accurately in the system. • Collaborate with loan servicers to gather updated borrower information and confirm repayment arrangements. • Participate in outreach campaigns and contribute to team efforts to reduce delinquency rates.
Qualifications and Skills for the Account Resolution Specialist: • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education a plus. • Previous experience in customer service or collections strongly preferred. • Comfortable managing a high volume of phone-based interactions while multitasking on a computer. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and able to navigate multiple systems with ease. • Strong verbal communication skills with a professional, polished phone presence. • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a remote environment. • Bilingual skills are a plus.
