Fuel Logistics Coordinator - Tank Wagon - Eugene

Due to growth and expansion, Carson is excited to fill day shift positions for a logistics coordinator. This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join our high-performance team in a role that will allow for additional growth.
Purpose: This position will be responsible for monitoring fuel inventories, dispatching fuel orders to the appropriate trucks and drivers, and overall logistics management.
Main Functions Assign tank wagon drivers to delivery routes based on customer orders and delivery windows. Monitor driver locations and delivery progress using GPS and dispatch software. Receive and process fuel orders. Verify product availability and coordinate with terminal or bulk plant operations. Optimize delivery routes for efficiency, safety, and DOT compliance. Adjust schedules in real-time for urgent deliveries or delays. Provide drivers with load instructions and safety protocols. Serve as main point of contact for drivers during shifts. Ensure compliance with transportation regulations. Maintain accurate delivery logs, driver hours, fuel volumes, and safety checks. Communicate with customers about delivery times and service issues. Handle complaints or service disruptions professionally. Monitor for safety or environmental hazards. Coordinate spill response or emergency procedures. Use dispatch systems and fuel inventory software. Generate reports on delivery performance, fuel usage, and driver metrics. Coordinate with sales, terminal ops, maintenance. Relationships and Roles
Occasionally requires overtime when workload deems it necessary. Demonstrate the ability to interact and cooperate with all company employees. Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on delivery to customers, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity. Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet company core values. Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments. Desired Job Specifications
1-2 years' previous dispatch experience and/or customer service experience a plus (we will train the right candidate) Proven ability to multi-task and work in fast-paced environments while maintaining accuracy High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Computer and customer service skills Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment Strong communication skills. Strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and team orientation. Computer literate with experience using MS Office and of like software systems. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Ability to problem solve and provide solutions. Employee Notes/Schedule
