Summary Whatcom County Facilities is currently recruiting for a temporary part-time Custodian. Hours of work are 5:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. This position will remain open until filled. Would you enjoy the challenge of:

A variety of janitorial tasks to maintain multiple County facilities during swing shift hours? Working successfully in a fast-paced environment as part of a team? Applying your first-rate attention to detail to consistently meet cleanliness standards? If you answered yes, Whatcom County is interested in learning more about your qualifications and experience, and about how you can best serve and improve county government by filling this key role in the Facilities Division of the Administrative Services Department. This position performs a variety of janitorial tasks related to the day-to-day cleaning and basic maintenance of County facilities under limited supervision. Works with various tools, equipment, and machinery and participates as a member of a team.

Supervisor : Custodial Coordinator Hours of Work:

Requires a high school diploma or GED AND 2 years of recent experience as a custodian working for a commercial firm or public institution OR completion of a certified janitorial training course. Must have a driving record that meets County standards and possess a valid driver's license at time of hire and throughout employment. Background check must meet County criteria for security sensitive positions.
