Compensation
$26-$29 per hour
Job Summary
The Dispatcher is responsible for providing daily material dispatching functions at the HMA plant. In addition, they must also coordinate plant production activity and daily sales. Also, they must maintain accurate reporting for all shipments, imported materials, and handle other clerical functions in support of plant sales.
Main Responsibilities
Effectively communicate and interact with customers, truckers, and co-workers
Ensure that the scale house maintains cleanliness and order at all times
Must establish and maintain effective relationships with contractors, subcontractors, public agencies, and other potential customers
Other duties as assigned
Responsible for handling all daily clerical functions in support of plant sales activity
Responsible for dispatching materials in a fashion consistent with daily job requirements
Skills
Able to travel to all locations
Basic digital literacy
Demonstrates personal initiative, reliability, and dependability
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and phone integrity
Excellent analytical skills
Knowledge of asphalt and construction materials, material production processes, in addition to asphalt construction methods and procedures
Proficient math skills
Physical Requirements
Ability to use hands and fingers in order to type and carry reports should the need require
Ability to stand, walk, and reach with arms and hands throughout the workday should the requirement emerge
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch should the need arise
Ability to sit for a long period of time, possibly more than 90% of the workday
Ability to see clearly or with assistance via vital correction
