Shipping/Receiving Clerk
Shift Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5pm-1:30am, Friday 6:30pm-3am Some overtime will be required based on volume.
Compensation: $20.50 - $26.50/hour based on experience
with $2 shift differential
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Checks in drivers, looks up purchase orders provided by drivers, and directs them to the appropriate dock doors for unloading of product. Verifies list of products unloaded and recorded by forklift driver against a purchase order to determine if all products were received or if there are discrepancies (overages, shortages, damages). Ensures proper labels and tickets have been applied before shipping. Prints all bills and assists in resolving any discrepancies. Collects all documentation and routes to the proper record-keeping unit. Answers incoming calls from drivers and gives directions to the facility. May direct and oversee the pallet control and exchange program, participate in cycle counts and help maintain inventory accuracy. The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:
Good communication skills both written and verbal. Proficient in MS Excel and Word. Strong attention to detail, quick problem solver. This job requires attention to detail, verifying paperwork, ensuring the right load is given to the right driver, the paperwork is completed accurately and that emails are responded to in a timely manner. Experience in similar roles is strongly preferred (dispatcher, Shipping and Receiving clerks, Customer Service for a 3PL, etc.) Regular and satisfactory attendance and punctuality are a must.
