The Senior Estimator is a crucial part of our electrical construction team, driving competitiveness, profitability, and business growth while fostering strong relationships with our customers and clients. This role focuses on preparing comprehensive cost estimates and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for our commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. Additionally, you will be responsible for mentoring and training our Estimators and Estimator Trainees.

Essential Functions
Prepare detailed labor and material cost estimates.
Develop and outline responses to RFPs and RFQs.
Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Estimating.
Create effective strategies to secure project awards.
Maintain and enhance the estimating database.
Build strong relationships with clients.
Support the Estimating team in cost estimation and bid package preparation.
Regularly review and assess Estimating staff performance.
Serve as a primary contact for members of the Estimating team.
Collaborate with Project Management.
Maintain the bid log and report key metrics to corporate.
Prepare materials and necessary information for Purchasing.
Conduct field walk-downs to determine constructability requirements.
Compare project documents for accuracy and perform data entry.
Execute field take-offs/evaluations for accurate estimate preparation.
Engage in the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholders.
Assist construction personnel throughout project lifecycles to track and comprehend cost estimates.
Prepare and submit change orders as needed.
Follow up post-project to finalize the estimating process, including invoicing and cost tracking.
Fulfill other duties as assigned while ensuring regular and predictable attendance.
Remain compliant with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, as well as industry-specific standards.
About You:
Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical construction estimating.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; relevant experience may substitute for formal education.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Strong understanding of local and national electrical codes (N.E.C.).
Proficient knowledge of electrical materials and installation methods.
Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, structural, and mechanical plans including blueprints and proposals.
General knowledge of engineered material costs.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, Accubid, and other estimating software.
Excellent analytical, organizational, verbal, written, and communication skills.
Team-oriented with a self-motivated approach to work.

Salary:
$95,000-$135,000/year, based on experience, paid weekly. Comprehensive benefits package:
