Job Summary
The Learning & Performance Consultant assesses organizational performance gaps and provides strategic advisement on potential solutions, which may include learning and development interventions. This role ensures that recommendations align with business objectives, enhance employee performance, and drive operational outcomes. When training is identified as the appropriate solution, the consultant ensures it is targeted, measurable, and directly addresses workplace challenges to support broader organizational goals.
Job Duties
Conduct interviews and other data gathering methods to validate root cause of behavior or performance issues.
Partner with stakeholders to align learning programs with business objectives.
Evaluate the impact of training programs using key performance indicators, tracing back to training initiatives.
Provide feedback and recommendations for continued improvements, (e.g., formal and informal training methods, departmental communication or coaching)
Assists in the design, develop, and deliver engaging learning solutions, including self-paced and instructor-led training.
Facilitates training sessions and workshops to enhance employee capabilities.
Job Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field.
7+ years of experience in instructional design, training facilitation, or learning performance consulting.
Strong understanding and application of adult learning principles.
Experience using content authoring tools and learning technologies (e.g., Articulate, Captivate, Lectora, LMS platforms).
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive business outcomes.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, or related field
Certification in instructional design, adult learning, or performance consulting (CPLP).
Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile).
Advanced proficiency in learning analytics and measurement strategies.
