Oversees program data collection and analysis and collaborates with schools and community organizations through effective partnerships.**Essential Functions****1** Develops and reviews short-term and long-term program improvement plans, and identifies goals and objectives for each program site; evaluates employee performance through site observations and provides feedback and informal coaching as needed.**2** Recruits and recommends the selection of individuals to serve as front desk staff for multiple program sites; coordinates and conducts trainings for staff based on employee feedback and job performance standards.**3** Conducts, facilitates, and participates in staff meetings for multiple sites to plan and evaluate program content, implement practices, and jointly resolve problematic areas.**4** Identifies, pursues, and coordinates additional resources for programs through grant applications, solicitation of

donations, and other alternative funding processes; meets regularly with external organizations and community partners to improve program delivery and supplement current program offerings.**5** Serves on various department and external organization committees to enhance community relationships and improve program site performance; engages and communicates with various individuals and agencies to ensure program integrity and customer service.**6** Responds to citizen complaints, concerns, and feedback regarding the programs and services; works to resolve situations in a timely manner; ensures the safety and security of multiple program locations; assesses problems and works collectively with site to resolve concerns.**7** Observes and evaluates contract vendors for performance and compliance within specified scope of work; reviews site reports and surveys for accuracy; prepares and submits consolidated reports to supervisor as requested.**8** Creates, develops, and disburses marketing materials for distribution and attends various school and district events to bring visibility and increase participation at current enrichment programs.**9** Performs any and all other tasks as needed or assigned.**Knowledge and Skills****1** Knowledge of recreation facilities and general programming.**2** Ability to work with children, youth, and adults.**3** Knowledge of first aid principles and practices.**4** Ability to develop, create, coordinate, and implement activities and work with a multi-cultural community.**5** Assisting, coordinating, and monitoring the work of subordinate staff providing assistance to the recreation programs and facilities.**6** Establishing and maintaining effective relationships.**7** Knowledge of strong customer service principles and practices.**8** Communicating effectively orally and in writing.**9** Knowledge of budget development and funding sources.**Experience**4 years experience in recreation program development, implementation, and facilitation.**Licenses and Certifications**Valid Driver's License**Education**High School Diploma, GED**Salary Range**$23.68 - $26.61The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.City of Dallas is an Equal Opportunity Employer and values diversity at all levels of its workforce.The City of Dallas is one of the largest employers in the DFW Metroplex.
