Job Summary

The Inspector is responsible for visually and dimensionally inspecting in-process and completed products, including electronic units, precision electromechanical assemblies, mechanical units, and structural components. Using predetermined methods, tools, and specifications, the Inspector ensures products meet quality standards by identifying defects, verifying measurements, and accepting or rejecting units as necessary.

Key Responsibilities Perform inspections using blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, and checklists. Inspect parts and assemblies based on drawings (including CATIA), process specifications, quality control requirements, and test procedures. Dimensionally inspect parts or assemblies to verify compliance with specifications. Initiate and document non-conforming materials, hardware, software, tools, parts, or assemblies in accordance with established procedures. Inspect vendor, subcontractor, or company-produced parts and assemblies. Follow a predetermined sequence of work tasks. Prepare and maintain quality records accurately. Perform line clearances after each lot to ensure removal of all materials from the previous lot. Support manufacturing process flow by cross-training and assisting other employees, including Assembly Technician functions. Conduct 100% inspection of parts produced by HAAS machines as part of process improvement activities. Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership with appropriate training and certification provided.

Required Qualifications Familiarity with Aviation Manufacturing practices. Proficiency in using measurement tools and reviewing engineering drawings. Ability to work from blueprints, specifications, and quality control documentation. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and discrepancies. Ability to follow prescribed procedures and maintain accurate records.

Preferred Qualifications Experience with CATIA or similar CAD software (if applicable). Prior experience in a quality inspection role within manufacturing.

Certifications Training and certification will be provided as required for additional tasks or functions.
