Job Summary

The Facilites technician maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of a facility, performing tasks like sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, keeping scrap machine going and ensuring a safe and organized environment.

Essential Functions and Duties Maintain cleanliness inside and outside of plant in a timely manner. Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming inside plant area. Maintain dust collection system Dusting surfaces. Painting, patch work Emptying trash and recycling bins. Assists with special projects or events as needed. Restocking cleaning supplies and equipment. Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs and potential risks. Perform general repairs and maintenance where needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Document maintenance activities and report on facility conditions regularly.

Qualifications

• Must be able to physically perform daily tasks, which include lifting material weighing in excess of 50 lbs. or more.

• Must have a strong sense of urgency in completing assigned daily duties.

• Must have a strong sense of urgency in accomplishing hourly goals and daily duties.

Education and Experience

• Must have a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent. Will take work experience in lieu of Education.

• Experience within a janitorial or custodian role within manufacturing helpful

Physical Requirements and/or Working Conditions

• Office and factory environment, including heavy lifting, and areas where eye protection, hearing protection, and respirators are required.
