Position Title: Business Development Specialist Position Location: 4 Irving Place, New York, NY 10003 Remote, Hybrid, In Office: Hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 remote - Tuesday and Wednesday Required. Positions Open: 1 Days of the week: M-F Working Hours: 9am - 5pm OT?: no OT Travel?: Could have budgeted travel but not likely. Intended length of assignment: 6-12 months - FTE likely based on performance Reason for open position: Backfill Rate Details: $44 - 55/hr Potential for Contract Extension or FTE: Industry Background: Varying experience in EV, strong outreach skills. Role & Responsibilities: About the Role: Con Edisons E-Mobility Team is seeking a motivated and experiencedBusiness Development Specialist to support its efforts in advancing medium- and heavy-duty electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure. This dynamic role involves managing key stakeholder relationships, driving project initiatives, and supporting the development of innovative solutions that promote sustainable transportation. Key Responsibilities: Stakeholder Management:Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal teams, external partners, government entities, and industry players, ensuring alignment of goals and priorities. Business Development:Identify and evaluate opportunities for expanding Con Edisons medium- and heavy-duty EV infrastructure programs by conducting in-depth market research, designing outreach campaigns and executing them. Communications:Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external stakeholders including c-suite level audiences. Requirement to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner. Project Management:Plan, coordinate, and execute complex projects related to EV infrastructure deployment, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met. Analytics & Reporting:Analyze data to assess project performance, market trends, and stakeholder needs, providing actionable insights and recommendations to the team. Strategic Planning:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align business objectives with the companys sustainability goals.

Must have technical or professional skills: Proven experience managing stakeholder relationships across diverse groups Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and methodologies. Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to navigate nuances in complex systems, willing to learn new systems. Strong presentation and deck making skills Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, capable of flexibly adjusting communication style to meet various needs

Experience in business development/outreach, preferred experience withing electric vehicle or trucking. Driver's License Required but not used for the job.

Flex skills/nice to haves: Experience with marketing strategies, developing outreach campaigns, and event planning A balance of big-picture strategic thinking and attention to detail. A "go-getter mindset with a flexible, solution-oriented approach to challenges. Passion or interest in sustainability, clean transportation, and EV adoption.

Years of Experience: 3-8 years' experience Education: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, Sustainability or a related field. Interview Process: Behavioral 1st round, 2nd round is case study with panel, 3rd interview - possible a phone screen/interview with department manager (less formal). Will request references once interviews are completed.
