Our busy dermatology practice is seeking a medical assistant to join our team!

Job Description Greet and prepare patients for dermatological examinations and procedures. Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints. Assist dermatologists with a variety of clinical procedures, including but not limited to skin exams, biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, and cosmetic treatments. Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies. Perform wound care, suture removal, and dressing changes as directed. Educate patients on post-procedure care and general dermatological health. Manage patient records and handle prior authorizations. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records (EMR). Ensure compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Support front desk operations as needed, including answering phones and verifying insurance. Perform other related duties as needed. Qualifications

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred. Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is strongly preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a dermatology or medical office setting preferred. Skills and Abilities:

Strong knowledge of dermatologic terminology and procedures. Proficiency in using EMR systems (e.g., EMA, Epic, or similar). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Compassionate and professional demeanor with patients and staff. Job Type:

Full time: Monday-Friday, 4 or 5 day shifts available with hours ranging from 7:30am-5:30pm Pay rate starting at $20/hr, based upon experience
