We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Inventory Receiver to join our team and support the receiving process by verifying incoming shipments, inspecting materials, and ensuring accurate inventory updates.

Job Summary:

The Inventory Receiver is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and documenting incoming shipments of lumber and building materials. This role plays a key part in maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting warehouse organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in receiving operations, attention to detail, and familiarity with building materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving Operations: Unload and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.

Documentation: Verify delivery contents against purchase orders and record discrepancies.

Inventory Updates: Accurately update inventory systems to reflect received materials.

Material Handling: Safely operate forklifts and other equipment to move and store materials.

Quality Control: Identify and report damaged or incorrect items to the Inventory Controller.

Organization: Label and organize received items in designated storage areas.

Collaboration: Work closely with the inventory and purchasing teams to ensure smooth receiving processes.

Compliance: Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized receiving area.

Qualifications & Skills:

Experience: Prior experience in receiving or warehouse operations, preferably in lumber and building materials.

Technical Skills: Familiarity with inventory systems and basic computer skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 75 lbs) and work in outdoor environments.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and quality control.

Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with warehouse and inventory staff.

Safety Awareness: Knowledge of safe material handling practices and equipment operation.
