Position Summary
AccuWeather is seeking an analytical and strategic Market Analyst to join our Digital Strategy team. Reporting directly to the SVP of Digital Strategy, this role will play a pivotal part in analyzing market dynamics across AccuWeather's digital platformsincluding our website, mobile apps, and connected TV applications. The ideal candidate will bring deep knowledge of the digital media ecosystem, a passion for uncovering market trends, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights that support growth, innovation, and competitive advantage. This position will be based at AccuWeather's Global Headquarters in State College, PA. Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyze digital market trends, including product strategies, pricing models, promotional tactics, and emerging technologies. Track and assess competitor activities, providing benchmarking insights and identifying potential threats or opportunities. Collaborate cross-functionally to deeply understand AccuWeather's digital offerings, from ad-supported experiences to direct-to-consumer subscription products targeting consumers and SMBs. Support business development, partnership evaluation, and M&A activities through detailed market and financial analysis. Synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations, and effectively communicate insights to senior leadership and stakeholders across departments. Advise internal teams on digital and social media best practices, emerging platforms, and integrated marketing opportunities. Use quantitative and qualitative data to support product strategy, feature prioritization, and performance optimization initiatives. Contribute to due diligence efforts during evaluations of acquisition or partnership opportunities. Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a digital media, strategy, or analytics-focused role. Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Digital Media, or a related field; MBA preferred. Advanced proficiency in data analysis tools, especially Excel or other spreadsheet and data visualization software. Strong understanding of the digital and social media landscape, including current trends, technologies, and performance metrics. Proven ability to think strategically, analyze complex datasets, and translate insights into business impact. Exceptional organizational, communication, and presentation skills; able to distill complex ideas to diverse audiences. Comfortable reading and interpreting business documentation such as financial statements, market research, and legal reports.
