In the Cardiology Department at Montrose Regional Health, the cardiologists and patients are supported by a compassionate, educated and experienced staff of nurses, technologists and nuclear medicine technologists with a total of more than 150 years of experience in the field of cardiology. The goal of the Cardiology Department is to perform diagnostic cardiac catheterization on every patient as precisely, thoroughly and efficiently as possible. The position of Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) focuses on providing direct patient care. The LPN will be responsible for rooming patients daily, including manual blood pressures, O2, weight, and heart rate. Attention to detail is of the utmost importance for medication reconciliation. The LPN will also be responsible for obtaining test results and, with the collaboration of the provider, generating orders or making phone calls to the patient. All About You
High school diploma or equivalent. Education: Graduate LPN nursing program, with current or pending Colorado nursing license. Training and experience: Experience in clinic setting is preferred but will train. Knowledge of basic ECG strips helpful. Computer skills and working with electronic medical records.
