Shipping Clerk Job Description

About the Role:

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for coordinating the packaging, labeling, and shipment of molded plastic parts and products. This position ensures that outgoing products meet quality and order specifications and that shipping documentation is accurate and compliant.

What You'll Be Doing:

Key Responsibilities: Prepare and package plastic parts for shipment. Create shipping labels and documentation (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists). Coordinate with carriers (FedEx, UPS, freight companies) for pickups and deliveries. Inspect outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and compliance with order details. Maintain records of all shipments and inventory movement. Operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and shrink-wrap machines as needed. Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure timely shipping of completed parts. Track shipments and resolve any delivery issues or discrepancies. We would love to hear from you if:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in shipping/receiving or warehouse environment (preferred). Experience in manufacturing or injection molding setting (a plus). Familiarity with shipping software (UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, etc.). Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, ERP systems). Ability to lift 50 lbs. and operate warehouse equipment safely.
