JOB OVERVIEW
The Material Planner is responsible for coordinating with other departments to ensure production goals and timelines are met. This includes working closely with Scheduling, Procurement, and other departments to ensure production releases to the shop floor are planned and properly coordinated prior to release.
This is an in-person position based in De Pere, WI. Applicants must live within a commutable distance to be considered.
ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES (includes but not limited to)
Confirm all materials are available to meet demand (job orders, customer orders, transfer orders, etc.) after releasing jobs to the production floor.
Obtain accurate scheduling information to confirm required dates.
Adapt to changes in requirements due to updates in the Bill of Materials or engineering changes.
Communicate schedule adjustments to procurement and operations teams as needed (e.g., move-in, move-out, or receipt not required).
Investigate shortage issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Highlight and escalate potential at-risk inventory concerns.
Utilize the material planner workbench to create jobs based on demand, collaborating with scheduling and operations to adjust job operations to align with production capacity and build requirements.
Ensure revision levels and available drawings are accurate at the time of job release.
Actively collaborate with procurement, project managers, logistics (shipping/receiving), scheduling, routing, engineering, quality, finance, and operations teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or GED required.
Experience: inventory, supply chain, manufacturing, or related field experience is required.
SKILLS
Syteline experience
Attention to detail
Strong math, accounting, and computer skills including Microsoft Excel
Excellent organization, time management, written, and verbal communication skills
